Sweet potato fries are a popular choice in fast food restaurants, but most are deep fried… leaving their nutritious ‘halo’ in the dust. But these baked fries are health-eating friendly and a great addition to dinner! With a dash of seasoning, this finger-food is a nutrient-packed side dish that the kids will love eating… and so will you! Don’t forget: Practice safe food eating, use condiments! (Catsup, that is ) Shoe-String Sweet Potato Fries Prep time: 10 mins Cook time: 35 mins Total time: 45 mins Serves: 2 to 3 Crispy, baked shoe-string sweet potato fries with a dash of spice.
Ingredients
2 sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into very thin slices.
1 Tbsp olive oil (or spray olive oil)
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp chili powder
½ tsp cumin
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400F. Prepare a baking sheet with aluminum foil and lightly spray with olive oil.
Toss the shoe-string fries with oil and spices, then spread on the baking sheet in a single layer.
Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, flipping the fries half way through. Bake until fries are at your desired crispiness.
