Asian Flair Broccoli Slaw

by ADMIN on NOVEMBER 29, 2012

Using sesame oil not only adds a deeper, savory dimension to this dish, but also brings down the acidity.

The avocado’s creamy texture and healthy fats cut through the tart taste of the lime.

You can make this traditionally with shredded cabbage or be lazy smart like me and use the prepared broccoli slaw!

And who doesn’t love feta? {Of course, if you’re one of the feta-disliking population, please do feel free to leave it off. More for me!}

*Also would taste good with a sprinkling of toasted sesame seeds. Asian Flair Broccoli Slaw Prep time: 10 mins Total time: 10 mins Serves: 3-6 Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp lime juice

  • 1 Tbsp red wine vinegar

  • 1 Tbsp sesame oil

  • 1 tsp honey

  • 3 Tbsp feta

  • 1 avocado, peeled and sliced

Instructions

  1. Combine broccoli slaw, curly parsley, and banana peppers in a medium bowl.

  2. Combine oil, vinegar, lime, and honey in a small bowl, then pour over the slaw - mixing well.
